When BAUX Acoustics approached me, they were looking for something far beyond a typical trade fair booth. They wanted a concept that not only showcased their acoustic materials — but embodied their values, provoked dialogue, and created space for new voices in the design world.
At Johan Ronnestam Creative Studio, we see every brief as a chance to push boundaries. We needed to design an experience that would resonate emotionally, elevate BAUX’s brand, and leave a lasting impression — both physically and philosophically.
Together with Form Us With Love, we developed the concept “Exploring the Bright Future of Architecture and Interior Design.” From day one, I knew this project had to do more than just look good. It needed to feel good — emotionally, acoustically, and culturally.
We began by dedicating the first space to emerging voices. Eight podiums featured work from architecture and interior design students, giving them a platform to share ideas for the future of our built environment. It was important to me that we created room for the next generation to speak — and be heard.
The second area — what we called the Acoustic Lounge — enveloped visitors in soft textures and sound. Built using BAUX’s own Pulp material, the booth resembled a hanging monolith, floating in silence. Visitors stepped inside and slowed down. This wasn’t a product pitch — it was a sensory experience.
Every element was carefully crafted to reflect BAUX’s commitment to sustainability. The stand was built from standard components, designed to be modular and reused at future events. Because innovation and responsibility must always go hand in hand.
